A fantastic kick-off to the Merten "Clever CONNECT on Tour" radio roadshow took place on 16 October 2007 in Sankt Wendel. ARGUS SMOKE DETECTOR - EXCELLENT SAFETY
The "Focus Sicherheit" design prize, awarded by the Design Center Stuttgart to professional designers and companies, proved its immense attractiveness this year, too. A total of 206 products were entered in this year's competition, which dealt with the topic of "safety". The jury awarded the "Focus in Silver" prize for outstanding design quality 56 times and the "Focus in Gold" prize for the best of the best seven times.
The ARGUS smoke detector received one of the coveted "Focus in Gold" awards.
The jury's verdict: A smoke detector, like a light switch, should always be seen in the context of architecture and must be subordinate to it. Here, a good balance between unobtrusiveness on the one hand and at the same time high quality was struck. Very attractive.
