AQUASTAR - PROTECTED AGAINST WIND AND WEATHER |

If electrical installations are exposed to moisture, splashing water or mechanical stresses and a flush-mounted solution is either impossible or too complicated, then you need AQUASTAR.
The break-resistant plastic housing of this Merten surface-mounted range meets the IP 44 standard for waterproofing, retains its protective function even in at low temperatures and is designed for the tough wear-and-tear of everyday use. After all, this has always been the consistent focus of its ongoing technical development.
Typical areas of application: garages, basements, laundries and terraces.

KNX BLIND AND SWITCH ACTUATORS – STAY FLEXIBLE, ALL THE TIME |

Merten brings you KNX actuators, which can be used both as blind actuators and as switch actuators.
The blind/switch actuators are especially practical, and available for 8-blind/16-switch setups or for 12-blind/24-switch setups.
Each channel can be operated either as a blind channel or as a switching channel. In the "Switching" channel operating mode, one blind channel is divided into two equal switching channels. The channels must be toggled at the device itself and in the ETS. It is not possible to invert the blind and switching channels. If the software and hardware configurations of the parameterised channels are not aligned, the relays of the affected channels are immediately opened and disabled.
The default setting for all channels in the relay operation is "Blind", and the channels can be actuated without programming. In addition to this, it is also possible to alter the settings to "Switching" directly at the device using the hand control. This means that connected loads can be tested for functionality and put into operation without programming.

The Ellington Hotel Berlin, a historical building infused with modern architecture
For the realisation of this superior 3-star hotel, the investors enlisted the expertise of the architects at "Reuter Schoger Architekten Berlin". As well as designing 285 rooms, six conference rooms, public areas and a shopping floor, not to mention the fully-refurbished 632 m² legendary Femina Hall, the architects also had to ensure that the façade – a protected monument – and the charm of a building steeped in history were perfectly preserved.
The M-PLAN switches from Merten's System M range were integrated perfectly into the individual rooms to ensure pleasant lighting moods and a fitting ambience. A striking form, clear lines and a reduced design are characteristic of the M-PLAN switch range.
The room numbers in the Ellington Hotel Berlin are integrated into the floor covering in red. In order to make these visible in the dark, Merten ARGUS flush-mounted movement sensors were installed. This made it possible to provide the hotel corridors with energy-efficient lighting.
